I built AIEWS because I kept running into the same problem: most "best AI tools" lists online are recycled content — the same handful of tools copy-pasted across hundreds of sites, often by someone who never actually opened the tool. My background sits at an unusual intersection for this kind of work — a business degree that taught me how teams actually evaluate a new tool's return on time and cost, and a separate diploma in programming that lets me understand what's really happening behind an AI tool's interface instead of repeating a vendor's marketing copy.

Every tool featured on AIEWS is tested hands-on before it's reviewed or listed — free-tier limits, real output quality and actual pricing are checked directly against the official source, not copied from a press release. When a tool changes its pricing, drops its free plan, or shuts down, the listing is updated.

I'm not a US citizen and I don't pretend otherwise. What I bring instead is a genuine outside interest in getting the recommendations right, a technical background to actually evaluate how these tools work, and enough respect for readers to be upfront about what a "free AI tool" can and can't do.
